The Great Gatsby Chapter 7 Notes

• Daisy cheats on Tom with Gatsby
• While in her house with Tom just in the other room, Daisy kisses Gatsby. Just to makes things a little bit more awkward is that Daisy's daughter (forgot her name) walked into the room just a few minutes after they kissed. Talk about awkward. Doesn't it feel uncomfortable that the person who you were just kissing kid just walks into the same room. Also that Daisy's husband was just in the other room.
• Tom finds out that Myrtle is planning on leaving him just as he found out Daisy is cheating on him
• Poor Tom. He just found out that his wife is cheating on him and now his mistress is leaving him to start a new life in a new place with her husband. Talk about the struggle is real. Yeah right! He is just finally getting a taste of his own medicine. He completely ruined his marriage by cheating on Daisy and he helped Myrtle screw up her marriage by helping her cheat on George.
• Gatsby tells Tom about his relationship with Daisy
• Gatsby has finally had enough! He finally told Tom what's been going on. Gatsby told Tom how Daisy has always loved him. How if Daisy would've waited for Gatsby then they would've been together (which I find is complete bullshit). He goes on how Daisy never loved Tom and how she only loves Gatsby 👫. What was a dick move for me was how happy Gatsby sounded when telling Tom all this or how Daisy never even seemed like she would've told Tom any of this. I felt that she finally would've told him after having Gatsby's baby.
• Daisy killed Myrtle
• While in Tom's car, Daisy and Gatsby were driving back home. When all of a sudden a huge idiot (Myrtle) got in the middle of the road because she thought that Tom was driving the car. I feel that Daisy had enough time to stop the car, but she was just so fed up with everything and decided to kill off Myrtle. Talk about a plot twist! If anybody would've killed Myrtle I thought it would've been Tom from finally getting tired of her. All I could think when I found out she is dead is the song Liliy was singing (Ding-dong Myrtle's dead). ⬅all rights go to Liliy for this. That song just hit home. Pun intended!😂
